Artist Development

SoutherncrossStars.png

Through a commitment to developing and growing a community of diverse community-focussed artists for our programs, we launched our first ever Lullaby Project Australia Artist Training day in 2020. This bespoke program was designed for established and emerging musicians with an interest in creative music leadership and community collaboration.

Our initiatives have continued to grow, including our first ever Artist Development Retreat at UKARIA Cultural Centre in January 2023, attended by 40 artists from South Australia and beyond.  Participants worked together to develop key tools, share experiences, and build vital knowledge for working as creative music leaders within community settings.

In October 2023, we delivered a subsequent retreat for regional artists on the Yorke Peninsula at Ballara Arts & Lifestyle Retreat. As with all our programs, we seek to build an ever-strengthening community of highly skilled and compassionate musicians to take on the role of a Lullaby Project artist across our communities.
