Taikurrendi Children's Centre

First Nations mothers collaborated with Cultural Consultant, Donna Tschuna, across a number of weeks, to write their own lullaby to celebrate culture, Country and family connections. First Nations artist, Nathan May, worked with Lullaby Artist Hilary Kleinig to support parents to compose these unique songs for their babies. Children at the centre spent time singing and sharing stories with Donna, Nathan and Hilary, as part of their weekly kindergarten program. The newly created lullabies will be recorded in July and shared amongst the Taikurrendi and local community.

Coolock House

At Coolock House, young mothers accessing services of the centre came together across a four week program with artists Hilary Kleinig and Jodie O'Regan to share stories, songs and create new lullabies for their children - gifts that will last a lifetime.

The project focussed on empowering participants through creative expression and celebrating the unique creative voice of all involved. A professional collaborative recording session enable participants to record their lullabies with Lullaby Project artists.
